Steven Marcus on Education in the 21st Century

Steven Marcus is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. His writings range from classic works on Charles Dickens, Sigmund Freud and Frederic Engels to those on literary criticism and detective fiction. Few topics on the public policy agenda are as critical as education. Marcus speaks about American education and the contested terrain of our educational establishments as we move into the new century.
