An artist who has gained international promenance for creating a diverse body of work using film, video, sculpture and architecture – Huyghe investigates the borders between fiction and reality, memory and history. His work most often includes the orchestration of acted or real-time events which form a cinematic experience. In his presentation tonight he will discuss two projects, his Streamside Day Follies in the Hudson Valley and the Huygle and Le Corbusier commission at Harvard. In addition, he will talk about a future collaboration with the Public Art Fund, an opera on ice. Huyghe’s work has been featured in many museums and galleries including the Neue Nationalgallery in Berlin, the Stedelijk in Amsterdam, and the 2001 Venice Biennale.
