As part of Gay Pride Month the Greenwich Village Society of Historic Preservation presents “Marking LGBT History in the Village and Beyond” at The New School.

Beyond the famous Stonewall Inn, there is much more to gay history in New York City. Six former members of the REPOhistory Collective (1989-2001) discuss Queer Spaces, a public art project marking important LGBT historical sites in the Village and beyond. They focus on the importance of place in the creation of memory and legacy in their earlier and current projects in art and activism.

The panel is composed of REPOHistory Collective members Todd Ayoung, Jim Costanzo, Betti-Sue Hertz, Kara Lynch, and David Sansone, with Tom Klem as the moderator. Introductions by Carin Kuoni, Director and Curator, the Vera List Center for Art and Politics.
