The Vera List Center for Art and Politics is a research center and a public forum for art, culture, and politics.

The VLC Academic Advisory Council is a community of faculty from across The New School’s various colleges who are deeply engaged in transdisciplinary practices and scholarship. Appointed for a two-year term, council members are at different stages of their careers with ties to both New School leadership and the student body. They build on and expand the Vera List Center’s biennial Focus Themes to reinforce the center’s role as a partner to and resource for New School faculty and students, and to collaborate with similar art-and-social-justice initiatives at the university. The VLC Academic Advisory Council is supported, in part, by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.
