W.A.G.E. Certified Institution

The Vera List Center for Art and Politics, in its role as a research center and a public forum for art, culture, and politics, serves a critical mission of fostering a vibrant and diverse community of artists, scholars, and policy makers who take creative, intellectual, and political risks to bring about positive change. This community is vital in helping The Vera List Center realize its goal of advancing the discourse on art and politics and as such, another aim of the center is to curate and support new roles for the arts and artists in advancing social justice.

It is of great importance for the VLC to express gratitude and appreciation for this community of artists, scholars, and policy makers, so it is with great pleasure that we are able to pay them for their work and time. In doing so, The Vera List Center for Art and Politics is W.A.G.E. Certified.

W.A.G.E. Certification is a national program initiated and operated by the nonprofit Working Artists and the Greater Economy that publicly recognizes nonprofit arts organizations demonstrating a history of, and commitment to, voluntarily paying artist fees that meet the minimum payment standards.
