Is the era inaugurated by the Stonewall rebellion coming to a close? The frequent appearance of lesbians and gay men on TV and in movies, the open courting of the gay vote, corporate marketing to gay consumers, public debate about gay marriage, and the apparent marginalization of New Right political homophobia all suggest that gay life in America really has changed dramatically since 1969. This panel discusses what the changes mean for lesbians and gay men (and for straight America) today.
